Now, it is a sad-but-true fact that there is a lot of fragmentation in Android. This is also seen in the major Android update releases as many of the flagship devices have not received the Android Oreo update. Even if a smartphone has received the Android 8.0 Oreo update, it will still be left out of the Android 8.1 Oreo. Therefore, we have to resort to different methods in order to get the update.

For this, one of the best solutions is to install a custom rom which comes with the latest version of Android. If this is the case with your device as well, we have got you covered below as we have attached a guide below to Install Android 8.1 Oreo based LineageOS 15.1 on the LG V20.

Prerequirements

  • First and foremost, it is very important to take an entire backup of your smartphone before installation of any Custom ROM. Thus, we would strongly recommend you to do the same as well.
